You’re having a baby or know someone who is? With so many products out there for baby slings, carriers, and wraps it can be intimidating sometimes.
I’m here to help! I’ve tried them all.
I personally like the carriers the best. You know, the book bag looking ones that your baby sits in. However, when my little one was tiny I definitely loved the wrap. It helped a ton with keeping him close and breastfeeding him.
I’ve found a few highly rated products in each carrier category for you to check out and see which ones you may like the best.
All pictures are clickable so you can check them out in more detail for yourself.
I tried to find a few different price ranges as well to better help you find what fits your needs best.
I was going to give you specific information on each carrier but they are generally all the same.
Age range: Newborn-18m/24m/+
Weight: Approx 7lbs-35lbs/45lbs
Making each option I have researched available from newborn or ‘age 0’ and approx 7lbs. Making them all versatile and able to be used starting at birth. (Unless you have a preemie like I was that weighs 5lbs! 😛 )
Slings: There aren’t many different options for these but I did find two highly rated ones from the same brand worth recommending..
Whatever carrier you choose, it’s an amazing advantage to all mothers, fathers, grandparents, etc. It’s great for grocery shopping, trips like museums and the zoo, and just cuddling your baby while you get some housework done!
I have a 4 year old who is still considered under the weight limit for mine and I just throw him on my back sometimes in the carrier like the first three listed. (This is not recommended by manufacturers. Do not take my personal information as saying it is alright to do so.) But.. yea.. it’s like a piggy back ride without having to hold onto him when he gets tired and I get tired of the… ‘I’m tiredddd’. (heh)
I tease. However, I highly recommend finding one that fits your needs and getting one. It helped me tremendously with so many things when my youngest was an infant +. It helped me be hands free.
I hope this has helped you find a few different types of carriers and decide on what one you may like better.
Let me know what you decide! I’d love to hear from you.
Have you used/do you currently use a carrier? What type? What is your opinion?
