Are your littles obsessed with Disney or a specific Disney character?
Are you?! (Come on, there’s a kid in all of us somewhere!)
We love Disney and I especially love the new and old movies. Watching the movies that you watched as a kid, with your kids, brings on a whole new realization. Heh 🙂
Plus memories, and watching their faces as they get excited for a whole new character and story.
My favorite Disney project that I’ve done is a few mickey mouse things for my sons first birthday! I bought one of these and made a cake, following the directions for the frosting. I also added cupcakes in red cupcake liners with white spots. I topped it with black frosting and pulled apart mini oreos to make ears on top! I don’t have pictures of them anymore. *Sad* BUT they were adorable.
I also made a banner. I searched for a mickey head picture, just the general shape one and I printed it, used that as reference to cut out many mickey heads from thick construction paper. I used red, black and yellow. I wrote my sons name, 1st Birthday across them, one letter on each (the 1st was on one). I glued them to a clear string and hung it on the wall! Everyone adored it!
I of course then proceded to make cute little mickey shaped snacks in containers of yellow, red, and white. Including the mickey shaped cheese. Gotta have your calcium!
And vola! Cute little crafties make an adorable day!
And I found some new Disney crafts that I definitely want to try!!
Let’s start with these cute little mickey patches by Miss Mandee! How adorable are these! You can literally put these anywhere. & you can make any themed one for any character!
WE HAVE DONE THIS! Outside, of course. The spray bottle would work much better than what we used. I bought cheap little squirt guns and the paint was so thick in it even when filled halfway with water that they wouldn’t spray! So ours was much lighter than hers because it was mostly water. However, the kids had SO MUCH FUN doing this, I’d recommend it for decoration purposes or just for fun! Check it out at My Sister’s Suitcase.
Have you seen these DIY mugs? In any style! Just buy cheap mugs and grab some colorful sharpies or paint pens. & if you’re like me, a stencil! Make whatever design you want! I love the pink and blue in this one. Pick any character! Then you bake it in the oven to seal it in. Check out Destination Decoration’s DIY to mug designing.

HOW ADORABLE! I’m in love. I always thought the pots were kinda plain and ugly and boring. These are the kind I buy too. My beautiful aloe plant is sitting in one right now because I haven’t gotten around to decorating it. And now I know how I will! Check out the detailed DIY over here!
Get used to me saying adorable in this post because yep, they are! Look what undercover tourist posted! The hand dyed DIY tinkerbell shoes are cute for any age, even adults! I know many adults who’d definitely wear these. I’ve used the RIT dye before and it works really well. Just use gloves 😛
I did some looking and found shoes like the ones pictured, and high tops as well! They’re unisex so you can get them for your boy or girl and they’re pretty cheap! 🙂 *Puts one in shopping cart…* & the dye color that was used.
Have a nack for being evil instead? No big deal, judgements are left at the door around here! Try these not so tasty poison apples made over at Cassell Tees! (NOT EDIBLE) Although I’m sure you could scrounge up some frosting or something to make edible ones for a party.
MUAH HA HA HA!
I know I have both sides in me, what about you? What is your favorite craft from this list? Do you have any other suggestions?
I’d love to know in the comments below!
Happy Disney Crafting 🙂
